Arrow & Roots Coffee Co. was founded on a simple but deeply held belief: faith is not meant to be lived out only in extraordinary moments, but in the quiet, ordinary rhythms of everyday life. Early mornings, honest work, shared tables, meaningful conversations, and faithful presence — these are the places where discipleship is formed and calling is lived.
Arrow & Roots Coffee Co. is owned and operated by Cody and Christie, a Christian husband-and-wife team seeking to honor Christ through both work and ministry. We are a faith-based, family-run coffee company committed to offering specialty coffee that is thoughtfully sourced, responsibly partnered, and crafted with purpose. Coffee is not the end goal for us — it is a tool. A way to create margin in the day, invite reflection, and support the work God has placed before our family.
The Meaning Behind the Name
The name Arrow & Roots comes from two biblical images that shape both our faith and our work.
Roots represent being firmly grounded in Christ — anchored in truth, nourished by Scripture, and strengthened by the unseen work God is doing beneath the surface (Ephesians 3:17). Strong roots sustain growth, provide stability, and prepare us for seasons of endurance and fruitfulness.
Arrows represent forward movement and purpose — the calling to raise the next generation to walk faithfully, to be sent out with intention, and to steward what God has entrusted to us (Psalm 127:4–5). Arrows are shaped carefully, released prayerfully, and aimed with purpose.
Together, Arrow & Roots reflects our desire to remain grounded in faith while living with forward-looking obedience.
Why Coffee?
Coffee has always been part of the spaces where life happens. For us, it has marked early mornings before the workday begins, conversations at the kitchen table, and quiet moments of reflection before stepping into responsibility.
In the midst of ordinary life — work, ministry, and raising our children — Cody and Christie felt a growing conviction to build something that reflected both their faith and their daily rhythms. Coffee became a natural way to support the work God had placed before them while creating something rooted in purpose.
We believe specialty coffee can serve as a meaningful companion in these moments. Each blend we offer is intentionally named and thoughtfully described, reflecting either the foundational work of Christ in shaping our roots or the forward call of faith as we raise our arrows.
While we do not roast our own coffee, we partner with trusted roasters and suppliers who share our commitment to quality, ethical sourcing, and care throughout the process. This allows us to focus on craftsmanship, storytelling, and purpose — ensuring every bag reflects the values we stand on.
