Arrow & Roots Coffee Co. exists to encourage faith lived out in ordinary life — in work, family, parenting, and the quiet spaces where discipleship is often formed. We believe God is at work not only in the extraordinary moments, but in the daily rhythms that shape who we are becoming.

This work flows from a shared calling rooted in Scripture, prayer, and a desire to steward both family and ministry faithfully.

A Calling Formed Over Time

Our purpose was not born overnight. It grew through years of ministry, teaching, parenting, and walking alongside others in seasons of growth and hardship. As we prayed about how God might be leading us into a new chapter, we felt a clear conviction: to build something that intentionally combined discipleship, family life, teaching, and community.

Coffee became the beginning point — not because it was the goal, but because it creates space. Space for conversation. Space for reflection. Space for people to slow down and consider what matters most.

Arrow & Roots was born out of that calling.

Why “Arrow & Roots”

The name Arrow & Roots comes from two passages that shape our mission and direction.

Roots reflect the call to be deeply grounded in Christ — strengthened through His Word, shaped by discipleship, and sustained by unseen faithfulness (Ephesians 3:17). Healthy roots provide stability and nourishment for growth that lasts.

Arrows reflect the calling to raise, shape, and send the next generation with intention and trust in God’s design (Psalm 127:4–5). Arrows are formed carefully before they are released. Their direction matters, but so does the faith required to let them go.

Together, Arrow & Roots represents our desire to remain firmly grounded while living with forward-looking obedience.

Coffee as a Tool, Not the Mission

Coffee is the way this calling is currently expressed, but it is not the end goal. Each blend we offer carries a name and story that reflects either the roots that have shaped us or the arrows we are shaping and sending forward.

Through coffee, we are able to support our family, create margin for ministry, and begin meaningful conversations that point beyond ourselves. Every cup is meant to serve as an invitation — to pause, to reflect, and to step back into life with renewed purpose.

Looking Ahead With Open Hands

We hold our vision with humility and trust. Our long-term hope is to grow Arrow & Roots into a space where coffee, discipleship, and community intersect — where customers are neighbors, coworkers are people we walk alongside, and faith is lived out together.

Whether that looks like a future coffee shop, expanded ministry, continued conversations through Grace in the Grind and Coffee Break, or simply people drinking good coffee that points them toward the Gospel, we trust God with the outcome.

Our commitment is to remain faithful with what is in front of us today.
